1) What is WAMOTOPIA?

WAMOTOPIA is a two-week pop-up city in Chiang Mai.

From Jan 21 to Feb 4, communities from around the world will host small gatherings across the city — in cafés, coworking spaces, studios, rooftops, and houses.

This is not a single big conference.

It’s a network of many small, respectful events that help people meet, learn, build, and create together.

2) Why we’re doing this (and what we explore)

The world is changing fast. Technology is moving quickly, but people often feel more isolated and disconnected. We believe we need more real human spaces — places where different people can meet, talk, and build new ideas together.

WAMOTOPIA is our way to create that space, for two weeks, inside a real city.

Main themes include:

• AI × Humanity (how AI changes work, creativity, and meaning)
• Web3 × Coordination (trust, governance, public goods)
• Longevity & wellbeing (health, resilience, better daily life)
• Digital nomads & new living (community, co-living, new ways to gather)
• Art & culture (music, art experiments, storytelling)
